Hitsdaily.com's estimated sales figures show Thriller25 blasting it's way to the #2 position with over 150,000.

With it's power index at 156,558, Thriller25 has greatly exceeded the expectations of many in the industry including, apparently, the SonyLegacy label.

We'll post Billboard's numbers as soon as we get them. 

Very early on we were receiving reports and comments from fans all over the place about Thriller25 being either sold out, or them buying the last copy in stores located all over the country. Looks like *somebody* underestimated the power of Jackson's musical appeal.

Twenty-five years after its initial release, Thriller25 is on the charts again in the UK.

According to Radio 1's Official Chart Show,

Michael Jackson's 25th anniversary Thriller reissue on Sony Legacy is selling even better than expected, with a projected first-week total of 120k that should easily place it in next week's Top 5. The new package includes the original nine songs, five tracks remixed with will.i.am, Akon, Fergie and Kanye West, a ballad, "For All Time," that was left off the original, and a DVD featuring the three classic videos ("Beat It," "Billie Jean," "Thriller") and a clip of the King of Pop moon-walking for the first time on the Motown 25th anniversary show. Props to John Ingrassia and his Commercial Music Group for a job well done on this historic package.
