Sept 19 2007 - Akon talked to MTV about working with MJ recently.

The hip-hop star wouldn't talk about specifics, but he did praise Jackson's musical abilities.

I went to an Akon concert on the 19th of September, 2007. He got the crowd on its feet and energy and love could be felt in the building. His messages of us being one people, brothers and sisters and living our dreams reminded of some of the things in Michael's words and music. I just happened to meet him at an After Party. We shook hands and we hugged, I complimented him on a great show and told him to tell Michael I said hi.... smilies/cheesy.gif

I've been fortunate to have artists come thru my city, and at times have met, that have had some connection with Michael either by working with him, being influenced by or Michael being influenced by them (ie. James Brown)
