MJEOL NOTE: The aftermath of the World Music Awards included totally asinine and erroneous reports about what happened and what was supposed to have happened. Along with the media running wild with a false rumors beforehand about Jackson "performing" in a "comeback bid" at the event, they also spead lies about other aspects of the show as well. One report claimed that rocker Bon Jovi refused to present Jackson with the Diamond Award and that Beyonce had to be talked into it. Bon Jovi has apparently slapped down that false report. Read below.
[b]BON JOVI DENIES JACKSON SNUB[/b] Rocker JON BON JOVI has slammed suggestions he snubbed MICHAEL JACKSON's comeback performance at the World Music Awards in London last week (15NOV06), insisting he wasn't even invited to the event. The KEEP THE FAITH star was in the British capital for his induction into the UK Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier that week (begs13NOV06) and many expected him to present Jackson with his Diamond Award at Earls Court. Bon Jovi received the same accolade at last year's (05) World Music Awards. However, the singer denies avoiding the presentation because of stigma following Jackson's molestation trial. His spokesperson tells the New York Daily News, "An invitation to attend and/or present at the World Music Awards was not received."
