WHAT’S THE SKINNY ON…..? Chris Cater: Chris 'Jack in the box' Carter, as he has become known in certain circles, is a former bodyguard of Michael Jackson's. Carter is currently in federal custody in Las Vegas and has been indicted on multiple robberies, burglary and kidnapping charges. He had told the prosecution all sorts of unfounded things about alcohol, the accuser and Jackson. He even testified in front of the grand jury. Judge Rodney Melville was going to allow Carter to both plead the 5th so as not to incriminate himself AND testify as to what he claims he saw. But either his lawyer strongly advised him not to testify OR he finally came clean and admitted that what he said at the grand jury was a lie because the prosecution said they weren't going to call him after all. Mike Taibbi talked about Carter on an April 25 2005 Abrams Report show:
