Ontario man charged in Michael Jackson threat Broadcast News Friday, August 20, 2004 KITCHENER — A Kitchener, Ont., man has been arrested for allegedly threatening singer Michael Jackson. Waterloo Regional Police say they got a call from police in Santa Barbara, California about an e-mailed death threat. The message was received Monday at the Santa Barbara courthouse, where Jackson was making an appearance. Waterloo Sergeant Bryan Larkin says U.S. authorities traced the message back to a Kitchener address. Waterloo police were then called to help the investigation and searched a Kitchener home yesterday. Larkin would not discuss details of the threat and said he did not know if Jackson had read the message. Twenty-six-year-old Adrian Poffley, 26, has been charged with uttering a death threat. He will appear in court next month. :nav Source: http://www.canada.com/ottawa/ottawacitizen/news/story.html?id=49161b6f-a6b4-451a-b2ff-619013ae385a
