Michael Jackson and his kids set London Abuzz 10 OCTOBER 2005 Michael Jackson made a spectacular return to the limelight when he paid a visit to Madame Tussaud’s at the weekend.
The legendary singer, who was making his first trip to the British capital since being acquitted of child abuse charges last June, was mobbed by hundreds of fans as he arrived at the attraction on Sunday evening. The 47-year-old, who was escorted through the throng of well-wishers by a group of burly security guards, was looking sharp in a black suit and dark glasses. And he seemed to have taken a leaf out of British interior designer Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen’s book, as he completed the look with an oversize-cuffed shirt and matching tie. Accompanying the performer were his three children, Prince Michael Jr, eight, Prince Michael II, four, who is nicknamed “Blanket”, and daughter Paris Katherine. Seven-year-old Katherine, her head and face covered by a green scarf, walked hand-in-hand with her father as they toured the venue. The family has caused quite a stir since they arrived in London a few days ago. On Saturday night they received an equally enthusiastic reception when they stopped by the Victoria Palace Theatre to see hit musical Billy Elliot. The controversial pop star is staying in the city’s upmarket Dorchester Hotel while he records a charity single, From The Bottom Of My Heart, in aid of victims of Hurricane Katrina.
