Press Release from Raymone Bain: [b]The Michael Jackson Fan Art Contest[/b] Over the years, as Michael Jackson has performed in cities around the world, he has been pleased, honored, and impressed by the large amount of fan art of him that he sees in the crowds that follow him. Seldom does Mr. Jackson’s schedule allow as much time, as he would like to meet fan artists, and more fully appreciate and enjoy their creative expressions. And, so to say thank you to all the fans that pour their love and passion for Mr. Jackson into their creative art, Mr. Jackson is inviting fans attending the March 9th “Fan Appreciation Day” event in Tokyo, Japan, to participate in the first Michael Jackson Fan Art Contest. Entries of all kinds are accepted, including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, sculpture, collage, computer graphics, mixed media, printmaking, and high-quality photographs. All entries will be judged by Mr. Jackson based on, creativity, design, artistic and aesthetic merits. Fans attending “Fan Appreciation Day” should bring their artwork with them to the event that is being held at Shinkiba Studio-Coast, 2-2-10 Shinkiba, Koutou-Ku, Tokyo 136-0082, Japan. Please include your full name, address, telephone number and e-mail address with your submission. The top three artists chosen by Mr. Jackson will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Jackson and have their picture taken with him, and be invited to a special brunch with him. By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation. All art submitted becomes the property of The Michael Jackson Company. Through submission of artwork, contestants and their legal guardians grant the Michael Jackson Company non-exclusive reproduction and publication rights as well as other non-exclusive use as it sees fit of submitted art. By entering, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless The Michael Jackson Company, including all officers, directors, employees, volunteers and sponsors from any and all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in Michael Jackson Fan Art Contest.
