It’s Army Reserve Maj. Jay Jackson, 42, his mother’s boyfriend, who took in the 35-year-old woman and her three children last year. An in-depth investigation reveals that Jackson, a personnel administrator with an L.A.-based Army unit, is intimately involved in every aspect of the family’s life, from appointments and errands to outings and discipline.
