Michael Jackson fans demonstrated today over MTV’s refusal to stop airing the Eminem video that demeans Michael Jackson. Unlike MTV, Black Entertainment Television (BET) stopped running it last month, at Mr. Jackson’s request. Mr. Jackson stated regarding Eminem and the video, “It’s demeaning and disrespectful,” Jackson said. “And I also want to make it clear that it’s not just about Michael Jackson but about a pattern of disrespect that he has shown to our community. He needs to stop it, and he needs to stop it now.” Speaking of his deep appreciation for his fans, Michael Jackson said, “Its because of my fans that I am calling in today…. I feel that I have the best fans in the world… I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart….
