MJEOL NOTE: A UK tabloid ran a story that the Prince of Brunei paid Michael Jackson $10 million to attend his birthday party in London recently. The story was picked up by allegedly reliable media outlets. For example, MSNBC’s Dan Abrams even used the false story as an opportunity to insult the Prince for paying and called Jackson a ‘clown’. Well now comes information that despite the insistence of the story being true by many outlets, it was as we suspected: another B.S. Jackson rumor.

THE Sultan of Brunei’s son, Prince Azim, has told us and we accept that pop legend Michael Jackson wasn’t paid a penny to join him for his 25th birthday celebrations last month, rather than the £5million we said. Michael, who is a close pal of the Prince, was so keen to go he even covered his own air fares. We only wish the Prince had invited us as well! Source: Mirror.co.uk
