Thriller25 is almost everywhere. SonyBMG is putting the kind of effort into promoting Thriller25 that Sony should have done for Michael Jackson’s 2001 Invincible album. (Fans have a long memory). You’d have to purposely not be paying attention to miss the ads for the red hot disc.

Pop Icon Returns With Re-issue of Historic “Thriller” Album

Michael Jackson’s back. “Thriller,” the world’s top-selling album, which vaulted Jackson to superstar status 25 years ago, is about to be reissued as “Thriller 25.” The release is being supported with a flood of singles, a 40-episode “ThrillerCast” podcast, the Super Bowl launch of the “Thrillicious” Sobe Life Water ad campaign and the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Jackson at the NRJ Music Awards at Cannes among other events.

AOL Radio has launched a new "All Michael Jackson" station to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Thriller. The station is streaming Jackson’s hits, rarties and more.

As previously reported, the 25th anniversary edition of Thriller comes out February 12 and will boast the original album as well as eight bonus tracks and a DVD.
