Celebrity Justice February 04, 2005 Rowe Fights Jackson For Child Custody A “Celebrity Justice” exclusive. 2001 Transcript: http://celebrityjustice.warnerbros.com/documents/05/02/04jacko.pdf Michael Jackson’s ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, who bore two of the singer’s three children, has had an astounding change of heart. She is currently battling Jackson in court for custody, but documents uncovered by “CJ” reveal she once testified that “Michael is a wonderful man…a brilliant father.” Jackson is about to stand trial on charges of child molestation. Debbie claims she now wants custody because of the new revelations about Jackson’s life, including the current allegations and the singer’s comments interview for a BBC documentary in which he said that it’s fine for kids to sleep with adults. “CJ” has obtained the court transcript from the 2001 Parental Termination Hearing, in which Rowe explains that she gave up the kids because, “as their mother, it is in the best interest for the children.” Rowe elaborated: “When I was seeing them every 45 days, it felt like an intrusion on their life and they’re going to have enough intrusions as it is.” The judge in the current custody case has ruled that Rowe did not give up her parental rights because the 2001 proceedings were flawed. A State Appeals Court also ruled that Rowe did not forfeit parental rights. Rowe’s change of heart based on unfolding information about Jackson is striking. Back in 2001 she testified: “I had the children for him… I did it for him to become a father. Not for me to become a mother. You earn the title of parent. I have done absolutely nothing to earn that title.” Source: http://celebrityjustice.warnerbros.com/news/0502/03c.html

MJEOL Editor’s Notes: 1. It wasn’t a “BBC documentary” 2. Rowe appeared in the “Take Two: The Footage You Were Never Meant to See” rebuttal video, which was done AFTER the Bashir “documentary”. So she knew Michael’s comments about sleeping in the same room with kids, and she agreed with him. 3. This recent alleged “custody” issue only became an issue when she stopped getting paid by Jackson. ======================================== Excepts from the transcript: Q= Questions asked of Debbie Rowe A= Her answers to those questions (pg 4-5 of .pdf file | pg 7-8) Q. Do you want the court to terminate your parental rights? A. Yes Q. Okay. A. Because — Q. That was my next question. Why? A. Because Michael is a wonderful man. First of all, a brilliant father. And it’s the best — as their mother, it is the best interest for the children. I don’t know if judge Lachs understands this. But when I was seeing them every 45 days, it felt like an intrusion on their life and they’re going to have enough intrusions at it is. I don’t want to be part of it. I’m absolutely around if ever Michael needs me, if the children need me for a liver, kidney, a hello, whatever, I will always be around for him. These are his children. I had the children for him. They wouldn’t be on this planet if it wasn’t for my love of him. I did it for him to become a father. Not for me to become a mother. You earn the title parent. I have done absolutely nothing to earn that title
