Police in the southern city of Munich said Jackson had spent over half an hour with Marcel Avram, who was arrested last month after a three year investigation. A spokesman for Avram’s agency Mama Concerts and Rau said Jackson had spontaneously decided to make the visit, which was postponed from Friday because crowds of reporters had gathered at the prison gates. Sources close to Avram, who also counts pop singers Tina Turner and Rod Stewart and opera star Jose Carreras among his friends, said the pair had a very friendly and emotional conversation and Jackson had asked Avram about his children. Prosecutors have not given details of the charges against Avram, but Mama Concerts said the charges were connected with the agency’s links to foreign artistes. Avram’s lawyer has said the millionaire will do all he could to refute the charges. Jackson, who is due to start a concert tour here at the end of the month, is hugely popular in Germany. His appearance on a television show in 1995 made it one of the most watched programmes in German history -Reuter Source: http://www.paksearch.com/br97/May/4/michaelj.htm
