Off the Wall and Thriller Added to Grammy Hall of Fame

Dec 21 2007 – Two landmark albums by Michael Jackson, Off the Wall and Thriller, will be added to the Grammy Hall of Fame.

The Grammy Hall of Fame honors recordings which have been released for at least 25 years and have had a significant impact on musicial history.

Jackson’s two albums are in the company of everything from Arturo Toscanini’s 1953 Verdi: Othello and Vladimir Horowitz’s 1932 Liszt: Sonata in B Minor, to The Mamas & The Papas’ Monday Monday and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird.

Off the Wall was Jackson’s breakout album and was released in 1979 while the massive Thriller was released in 1982.
