Tape Public Never Saw is Evidence of Conspiracy?– Bullet #176

Tape Public Never Saw is ‘Evidence’ of Conspiracy? – MJEOL Bullet #176 Santa Barbara News-Press writer Dawn Hobbs has written an article, “Tape called evidence of Jackson conspiracy,” which cites leaks from either prosecutors or law enforcement about a tape of the accuser and family. Apparently the accuser and his mother are caught on tape praising Jackson. Hobbs says her sources tell her that this is the tape prosecutors will use to claim a “conspiracy” against the family.

According to prosecutors, the tape was the cause for the alleged “conspiracy/abduction/kidnapping/threats”; the reason for the alleged trip to another country; the reason for so much prosecution-alleged panic. The problem is that the tape (or tapes) was never shown to the public in any form either before or after late Feb 2003.

Remember, this allegedly took place some time in Feb 2003. There was no hint or even suggestion of the family making a molestation allegation against Jackson at this time. So this tape certainly wasn’t made as a result of any allegation coming from the family.

Jackson Fans Rip VH1 Movie from Stem to Stern– Bullet #175

Jackson Fans Rip VH1 Movie from Stem to Stern – MJEOL Bullet #175 Biopic ridiculous and wildly inaccurate After media reviews tearing the VH1 movie “Man in the Mirror” apart, Jackson’s fans are also ripping the movie apart from stem to stern; questioning everything from the accuracy to the choice of actors. In a mad rush to be one of the entities to financially benefit from Jackson’s fame and legal troubles, VH1 created what some have characterized as a “dramatization” of media articles, cliché’s and inaccurate info staring a ‘cartoon character’ version of Michael Jackson. This version is often seen through the lens of misinterpretations, half-truths, or outright lies.

The movie, as expected, portrayed Jackson to be an immature, selfish nutcase who doesn’t know how to live in the world, according to many fans at the powerhouse fan site MJJForum and even the vh1 messageboard. The sentiment is also shared by members of this site, MJEOL, where the majority of fans who posted their reviews feel that the movie lacked both depth and enough truthfulness to be even remotely accurate.

Incomplete, Uncertified, & Inconsistent docs for Warrants?– Bullet #174

Incomplete, Uncertified, & Inconsistent docs for 69 Search Warrants? – MJEOL Bullet #174 Michael Jackson’s lawyers filed a Status Report with the court today (August 5 2004) in which they tell Judge Rodney Melville that prosecutors have turned over incomplete, inconsistent documents to the defense. Defense attorneys say prosecutors are handing over non-certified copies of some 69 (or as many as 74) search warrants; some with blanks and some that are mysteriously missing pages.

Prosecutors Break Gag Order, Defense Ask for Clarification– Bullet #173

Prosecutors Break Gag Order, Defense Ask for Clarification – MJEOL Bullet #173 Michael Jackson’s defense attorneys have asked Judge Rodney Melville for a clarification of the gag order. Apparently two prosecutors, Tom Sneddon and Ron Zonen, engaged in behavior where they broke the gag order. Sneddon appeared on a discussion panel in Canada where he was specifically discussing this “case”, according to a witness who was present at the conference. Zonen did an interview with the Santa Barbara News-Press about this “case” as well.

Now, with prosecutors running to the judge in regards to one statement Jackson released about the 93 “case”, it seems rather imperative that Jackson’s lawyers ask the judge to check into the fact that the current district attorney appeared on a discussion panel discussing this “case” and that his colleague spoke directly to the media about it.

Questionable Testimony Catalyst for Conspiracy Charge?– Bullet #172

Questionable Testimony Catalyst for Conspiracy Charge? – MJEOL Bullet #172 In MJEOL Bullet #170, we learned about some of the completely asinine theories and allegations prosecutors are claiming in the Michael Jackson “case”. There is a great deal of information found in the defense’s rebuttal motion (Reply to Plaintiff’s Opposition to Defendant’s Motion to Set Aside the Indictment). The defense continues to deconstruct the odd theories around this “case,” and blast the misconduct by prosecutors involving the searches, the grand jury process and a witness who couldn’t possible have known anything to which she testified in front of the grand jury.

The defense tells Judge Rodney Melville that there was a complete lack of probable cause presented to the judge who issued the search warrants.  That judge, Thomas Adams, is said to be the one who has issued dozens of search warrants—last count was 57—to prosecutors in this “case”.

Civil Lawyer Refusing to Testify in Court? – MJEOL Bullet #171

Civil Lawyer Refusing to Testify in Court? – MJEOL Bullet #171 In the July 27 2004 Minute Order, which simply tells what was discussed during the July 27 hearing, there is interesting information concerning one of the civil (“money”) lawyers the accuser’s family ran to in 2003. That lawyer, Bill Dickerman, was one of several civil attorneys, sources say, the family used to try to extract money out of Jackson.

Dickerman has thus far not agreed to testify even though he’s been subpoenaed to do so. As a result, the judge has issued a stayed warrant for him by which he will be arrested for contempt of court if he refuses to testify. His bail is already set at $5,000 if he doesn’t show up in court or notify the court. The issue of his refusal, if he is still refusing, will be discussed at an August 6 2004 hearing at 9:30AM PST.

Asinine Theories, Inadmissible Info Permeate Prosecution Case

Asinine Theories, Inadmissible Info Permeate Prosecution Case- MJEOL Bullet #170 The defense in the Michael Jackson “case” has launched salvo after stinging salvo against the prosecution’s actions, theories, and execution of this “case” since before police ransacked Jackson’s Neverland Ranch. In a defense motion filed July 23 2004, the defense contends that the grand jury process was racked with misconduct, speculation, inadmissible innuendo and incorrect instructions. What has also come to light is that a mysterious PR person who testified in front of the grand jury only worked for those around Jackson for less than 3 weeks. What’s more, she’s never even met Jackson. From her speculation comes some of the barrage of unfounded speculation of what Jackson could or may have done concerning the bizarre conspiracy charge.

Defense Arguments Absent from Hearing Coverage?– Bullet #169

Defense Arguments Absent from Hearing Coverage? – MJEOL Bullet #169 Some observers have noticed a lack of information as to what the defense presented in court today. Some, like us, have been waiting to hear the defense’s arguments to some of the things prosecutors have been saying about this allegedly vast “conspiracy” to kidnap/abduct/imprison the accuser’s family by Jackson and his associates. What is striking is that in most of the early articles about what happened in court today, only 1-3 sentences are devoted to what Jackson’s attorneys said in court, even though it was the defense who caused these witnesses to take the stand in the first place.

The majority of these earlier articles–thus far, from the AP, the LA Times and the like—ran with headlines such as “Prosecutors Say Jackson Imprisoned Family” (LA Times); “Jackson built Neverland ranch to entice children: lawyers” (AFP); and “Michael Jackson Accused of Imprisoning Boy” (AFP).

But some information is leaking out through the screaming headlines. Sources inside the courtroom have said that the defense lawyers made the prosecution look like they were involved in misconduct and/or had something to hide.

Sneddon Stifling Speech & Lying to the Media about it? – Bullet #168

Sneddon Stifling Speech & Lying to the Media about it? – MJEOL Bullet #168 Just when you thought the prosecution in the Michael Jackson “case” couldn’t look any more ridiculous, comes word out of Canada that the current district attorney of Santa Barbara may have been caught breaking the gag order in the Michael Jackson “case”, then later lying about it. Tom Sneddon, speaking at the National District Attorneys Association(NDAA) Summer conference in Vancouver, admitted to a number of things that now warrant further investigation and discipline from a higher authority. Veteran journalist for The Globe and Mail, Robert Matas, witnessed Sneddon breaking the gag order by talking about the case, admitting to sending out letters telling people they were witnesses in the case to keep them off TV, and who knows what else. Then allegedly lying about what he did to the media—namely to AP reporter Linda Deutsch.

Ridiculous ‘Quads’ Story Used As Distraction? – Bullet #167

Ridiculous ‘Quads’ Story Used as Distraction? – MJEOL Bullet #167 In a rather pathetic attempt to shift the focus off of the real bombshells in the actual Jackson “case”, some nut (or nuts) has convinced another set of nuts to run a story about Michael Jackson fathering quadruplets by some mystery woman in Florida. Without naming a source, the magazines featuring this ridiculous story–Us Weekly by way of the National Enquirer–claims that Jackson met recently with a surrogate who is pregnant with 4 children that he will become the father of. Everyone in a position to know such information is saying the story is complete garbage. That hasn’t stopped the speculation. What’s more, the timing is too incredibly suspicious to be ignored.
