UPDATE: Another lawsuit: AllGood Seeks to Derail London Shows – MiniB#67

Someone else is trying to stick their hands into Michael Jackson’s pockets. Shocking, I know. The amount of people attempting to prevent Jackson from focusing on his career and sidetracking any plans to show off his talent has grown… again.

According to a report from Reuters, some dude in New Jersey (AllGood Entertainment) is claiming he has a deal committing Jackson to a performance in the United States which stops him from performing in other places; other places like London’s O2.  The deal was supposedly struck with Jackson’s alleged manager, Frank Dileo.

(Update: ) The only problem is that Jackson family members released a statement on May 15 2009 saying they were in no way involved in any performances with Michael, as claimed by AllGood. Oops.

RUMOR: MJ and BGT’s Diversity?

Another day, another rumor about what Michael Jackson’s London shows will contain!

This one involves alleged talks for Britain’s Got Talent winners ‘Diversity’ to, in some way, be involved.

However, the trouble with this ‘news’ is that, according to UK magazine (tabloid?) New Magazine, Simon Cowell is trying to use this to get a deal with Jackson.

Supposedly Cowell wants to use the group’s participation to squeeze out an appearance from Jackson on one of his shows.

A delayed start for Jackson’s This Is It concert series is necessary “in order to meet the challenges presented by such a massive and technically complex show,” according to a message sent to ticket-holders by concert promoter AEG Live.

“We apologize to all disappointed Michael Jackson fans and remain extremely dedicated and focused on creating an exceptional live music experience,” said producer and director Kenny Ortega, who is collaborating with Jackson on the shows.

Jackson Tour: 500 Dancers fly to LA for Auditions

Michael Jackson Sources 500 Dancers Fly to Los Angeles for Extraordinary Auditions

Rehearsals for the Michael Jackson shows are well underway and already the King of Pop is hard at work preparing his concerts with show director Kenny Ortega and contributing choreographer and dancer from the Dangerous and HIStory tours, Travis Payne.

Shrouded in secrecy and the subject of much speculation as to their content, the shows have created a level of excitement never witnessed before. Fittingly, for such an out of this world show, rehearsals are taking place south of Silicone Valley, west of the NASA Space Center!

One of the highlights of rehearsals has been the dance auditions. With over 5,000 applications received, the number was narrowed down to 500 potential candidates, flying into California from all over America, and as far away as Australia, Canada, Japan, Europe, UK, and South America. They are some of the greatest dancers the world has to offer, and they were there for one reason – Michael! His influence inspired many of them to become dancers in the first place.

Jackson’s Prince to make Surprise Appearance? [RUMOR]

“This Is It,” Michael Jackson’s much expected and, some say, overdue comeback to the music scene, kicks off this July at London’s O2 Arena. There will be no less than 50 shows, for which all tickets have been completely sold out in the first days they went on sale, with speculation that the tour might extend to the US as well. Given the magnitude of the event, it’s no wonder that fans want to know some of the details of the performances beforehand.

Sources from the organizers, as well as from Michael’s entourage, are here to share with the media some of the “secret” surprises the King of Pop is currently preparing. According to the Daily Mail, one such surprise would be a cameo from none other than Jackson’s eldest son, Prince, who will reportedly be sharing the stage with his father and sing for the first time ever.
