At 9 p.m., although ABC’s Extreme Makeover perked up to a third-place finish in the overnights (5.0/ 7), total viewers (5.95 million) and adults 18-49 (2.1/ 5), Fox’s North Shore sunk to a typically lackluster 3.0 4 in the overnights (#5), 4.06 million viewers (#5) and a 1.8/ 4 among adults 18-49 (#5). In the battle of UPN versus the WB, UPN’s reliable WWE Smackdown! (#4t, 4.1/ 6; A18-49: #4, 2.0/ 5) bested theatrical Love & Basketball on the WB (#6, 2.6/ 4; A18-49: #6, 1.1/ 3) by 58 percent in the overnights and 82 percent among adults 18-49.
