For every “Girl 6,” “She Hate Me” or “Miracle at St. Anna” in filmmaker Spike Lee‘s oeuvre, there’s not only a great feature to offset it (“25th Hour,” “He Got Game,” “Inside Man“), but several fantastic documentaries (“4 Little Girls,” “When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts” “If God Is Willing and da Creek Don’t Rise“) as well.

One could even argue if Lee’s feature career got a little uneven later in the game (which is still very debatable), his documentaries — some of them his best work, period — never faltered.

Paris: Jackson wanted kids to have normal life

Michael Jackson made his children wear masks so they would not be recognized without him, and could have some kind of a normal childhood unlike his own, the late star’s daughter Paris said.

In only her second public interview, the 13-year-old said she didn’t understand why she and her siblings Prince and Blanket were being forced to cover their faces when they were young.

“I was really confused. I didn’t get why I was wearing a mask. But I understand it now — why my dad would want our faces to be covered,” she told talk show host Oprah Winfrey, in an interview to air Sunday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ne-Yo claims he was fired as an opening act for R. Kelly because the audience and critics liked him better.

Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, and Compound Touring Inc., sued the promoter of R. Kelly’s tour, Georgia-based Rowe Entertainment Inc., on Monday in Superior Court. The lawsuit, which alleges breach of contract and violation of the right of publicity, seeks unspecified damages.
