Jackson Pops Up in London – MiniBullet#40

MAY 22 2007 – Guess who popped up in London? King of Pop Michael Jackson made what some consider to be a surprise visit to London today (May 22). [gallery]285[/gallery]Jackson reportedly flew in to Heathrow Airport, with a police escort, from Los Angeles California.

He was sans Prince, Paris & Blanket, his three children, at the airport according to reports. At the moment, there is only speculation as to why the singer is in London. Some claim he will be meeting with record executives and others speculate he would be meeting old family friend David Gest. These reports are unconfirmed as of now.

Auction House Settles Lawsuit with Michael Jackson about Memorabilia – MB#39

MAY 18 – After all of the blustering talk via press releases, Universal Express (UE) has settled a lawsuit brought against them by Michael Jackson over the sale of his memorabilia.

Universal Express had previously called the lawsuit against them “frivolous” and claimed they would prove ownership. They settled the case today right before a court hearing was supposed to take place.

In an Associated Press report today (May 18), one of the attorneys for UE admitted that “very little” items belonging to Michael Jackson will be a part of the auction. Ouch.

Previous media reports claimed UE was threatening to release “embarrassing items” if Jackson didn’t back down. Claims of “paintings of naked boys” and other such ridiculous nonsense were floating in the media.

However, no source — independent or otherwise — who had access to the collection of material before it was sold to UE has confirmed that there were any “embarrassing items” in the collection.

Auction House Receives Hearing Notice from Jackson Attorneys – MiniB#38

Auction House Receives Hearing Notice from Jackson Attorneys – MiniBullet #38 MAY 11 2007 – The auction house planning to sell Michael Jackson’s memorabilia — allegedly sold illegally by Henry Vaccaro — has received a hearing notice to appear in court early next week. According to a press release from Universal Express, both it and the auction house Guernsey’s have received word that Jackson intends to fight for property belonging to him which was supposed to be excluded from an original court proceeding which caused this mess in the first place. How did this happen? Other members of the Jackson family, excluding Michael and Janet, got involved in a bankruptcy issue years ago with the storage of number of family items and memorabilia at a storage facility. Among those items was property belonging to Michael and Janet Jackson. Vaccaro was “a creditor of one or more members” of the Jackson family “who were previously subject to a Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceeding”. However, Vaccaro is not and has never been a “creditor” of Michael Jackson’s. Again, Michael and Janet were not part of the bankruptcy proceeding. Did that matter to Vaccaro? Hell no, because he up and sold it all; particularly the items belonging to Michael and Janet probably because those items fetched a higher price. What’s worse is that he reportedly sold it after being ordered by the judge in that proceeding not to sell items belonging to third parties. Woops!

Dimond on Inside Edition Pushing Vapid Jackson Rumors…Again – MiniBullet#37

Dimond on Inside Edition Pushing Vapid Jackson Rumors…Again – MiniBullet#37

MAY 9 2007 – ‘It must be pretty pathetic to be Diane Dimond right now, ‘ I said to myself while watching what some have called a ‘hack’ reporter appear on Inside Edition yesterday (May 8).

The poor thing appeared just in the nick of time to spread rather bland rumors about Jackson’s current life. It seems highly dubious that Dimond would know anything at all about Jackson’s current life, let alone connected enough to know about his personal dealings with people in other countries.

I thought that online guy over at Fox News was the only one delusional enough to think that? Maybe she’s swiping some of his material?

In the aftermath of Jackson’s full acquittal on false charges of child molestation in 2005, Dimond has all but disappeared. I would say she’s been in exile from the airwaves if I were inclined to fits of ridiculous melodramatics like most of the media are when reporting news about Jackson.

Aphrodite Jones writes New Book about Media Bias? – MiniBullet#36

APRIL 30 2007 – Former Michael Jackson hater, Aphrodite Jones, apparently has written a new book. Before you roll your eyes in disgust (as I did when I first heard about it), hold on a minute.

If the write up on Jones’s website for the new book rings true, she may not be as delusional as some of us think she is. This opinion, of course, is based on the pre-release information available so far.

Lawsuit Against Jackson Dismissed – MiniBullet#35

APRIL 17 2007 – Word came today from MJHU and confirmed through the Los Angeles County's Court website that a lawsuit filed against Jackson with a number of questionable allegations has been dismissed.

The lawsuit filed April 28 2006, brought by Helen Harris-Scott, alleged that Jackson had inflicted intentional emotional distress against her, stalked her, sent secret messages to her and keyed her car. No, I’m not kidding.

Duke Case Prosecutor Lambasted as Media Hypocrisy is Revealed – MB#322

APRIL 12 2007 – Maybe the public and much of the media needed to see a group of what they consider to be ‘more acceptable faces’ on the issue of {tag false allegations} before they finally got that not every accuser in a high profile case tells the truth? Some of them certainly didn’t seem to ‘get it’ during the Michael Jackson case from 2005.

Pathetic Attempts to Spark a Jackson Scandal? – MiniBullet#34

Pathetic Attempts to Spark a Jackson Scandal?  – MiniBullet#34

April 2 2007 – What do you do when you are publicly embarrassed by Raymone Bain after publishing the story that Michael Jackson has been hospitalized with pneumonia?

Well, you turn the story into something else entirely and tack on independently unverifiable comments from shady, unnamed sources!

The apparently false story of Jackson being {tag hospitalized} with pneumonia came out a few days ago.

{tag Raymone Bain} released a statement denying that Jackson was hospitalized for pneumonia. Bain confirmed that Jackson and other people around him had gotten ill following whirlwind visits to {tag Japan} and {tag London} last month.

Apparently the truth is never good enough for some people.
I absolutely refuse to give any publicity to the pathetic, Jackson-bashing online reporter who appears to have started this.

It seems as if this person has a hard-on for ridiculous Jackson rumors and pushing dubious-sounding information onto those who don’t know any better. Or maybe this person just has a hard-on for Jackson? I wouldn’t be surprised.

As with anything Jackson-related, the need to exaggerate — and to be all up in his business as if they should get a say in what he does — is still present in a few of the usual suspects.

Screaming fans Greet Jackson with Hugs in London – MiniBullet#33

Screaming fans Greet Jackson with Hugs in London – MiniBullet#33
Media greets him with disgusting contempt and disrespect

MARCH 21 2007 – Despite certain news outlets’ attempts to convince the public that Michael Jackson is irrelevant and has no fans, events all over the world continue to illustrate how purposely misleading their reports appear to be.

Reading and watching all of the online news coverage — mostly from the Associated Press — both from Japan and {tag London} sparked by Jackson’s visits this month, it’s difficult to come away thinking that Jackson is on his way down as far as popularity is concerned or that the media’s credibility is on it’s way up as far as respect is concerned.

Did the recent news stop the {tag Daily Mail} and DailyIndia.com from lacing recent reports with dubious information about the reason for Jackson’s recent visit to London? Hell no!

Neither source is particularly known to be a bastion of accurate Michael Jackson news. Both agencies preferred to refer to him as ‘Jacko’, which has become equivalent to a hackneyed expletive, at least among some in the fan community.

Rita Cosby OUT after Jackson -coated Start at MSNBC – MiniBullet#32

Rita Cosby OUT after Jackson -coated Start at MSNBC – MiniBullet#32

MARCH 17 2007 – {tag Rita Cosby} "gets it", but this time it wasn’t an attention-grabbing story.  What she seemingly got was "the boot" right out the door at MSNBC.

Mediabistro is reporting that Cosby’s last day will be March 31 2007, as {tag MSNBC} apparently decided not to renew her contract.  This comes long after her show, Live and Direct, was canceled.

News like this ordinarily wouldn’t matter at all to me except for the fact that Cosby chose to ride the "Michael Jackson scandal" train to the launch of her then-new show at MSNBC in 2005.
