Another Day, Another Lawsuit: This one wants $29 million – MiniB#48

JULY 18 2007 – In yet another attempt by someone else to get their hands into Michael Jackson's pockets, another entity has filed a lawsuit against the singer, his mother Katherine, and others claiming they are owed $29.7 million in "unpaid brokerage fees". Yes, you read correctly. HIS MAMA TOO!

In court documents obtained by MJJR.net, Transitional Investors, a private investment company, claims to have had a part in Jackson refinancing a loan, and that they were supposed to get 9% of the entire transaction value.

The problem is that their alleged connection with Jackson was through Don Stabler and Darien Dash of Precient-fame. If the name "Precient" sounds familiar, it should. Dash owns the company, which apparently held themselves out as representatives of Jackson.

Is Fox News Intentionally not showing Aphrodite Jones's interview? – MiniB#47

JUNE 28 2007 – Author Aphrodite Jones has written an eyeopening book into the media's general lack of accurate, balanced reporting during the Michael Jackson trial.

A large part of the work also deals with facts about the actual trial which were either overlooked or purposely ignored during the media coverage. Earlier it was announced that Jones would be interviewed by Bill O'Reilly on June 21 2007. Though the interview for that blowhard's show was taped on June 21, it has yet to air.

Precient Settles Suit with Jackson – MiniB#46

June 18 2007 – Precient Acquisition Group has decided not to face singer Michael Jackson in court concerning claims it allegedly was owed upwards of $48 million.

Precient, owned by Darrien Dash, claimed the company helped Jackson secure a commitment of $537.5 million which supposedly enabled him to pay off a debt with Bank of America. Jackson says he never heard of Dash and certainly didn't remember signing documents agreeing to pay his company $50 million for anything.

The Day the Media and Other Vultures Lost Millions of Dollars – MB #323

JUNE 13 2007 – Where were you two years ago today? If you don’t really remember, you were not paying any attention to the news at the time.

Two years ago, a conservative, non-black jury in Santa Maria California effectively snatched hundreds of millions – if not a billion – dollars from the collective media by following the evidence, instead of public opinion. Everything, including the kitchen sink, was thrown into the trial of 2005 in an attempt to convict Jackson of a crime which never took place.

rosecutors wanted the jury to convict based on drawing conclusions from speculation, whereas the defense wanted the jury to acquit based on irrefutable evidence. When the jurors couldn’t bring themselves to throw Jackson under the bus by ignoring the evidence in favor of public opinion and their own financial gain, many members of the media were dumbfounded.

Jackson Tops PopScores Chart? – MiniBullet #45

June 13 2007 – Michael Jackson tops the PopScores chart for the highest percentage of people who would buy his new material. However, the information is being reported by the The Sun, a UK tabloid that has already had to apologize for running a false story about Jackson getting paid $10 million to attend the birthday party of Prince Azim (the son of the Sultan of Brunei).

A link to the article from The Sun is found on the Entertainment Media Research website, though. According to the gossip, 82% of his fans would buy his new material, which was the highest score for any of the artists.

Aphrodite Jones Blogs about New Book, FOX appearance – MiniBullet #44

June 7 2007 – Aphrodite Jones has posted her first blog "ever" about her new book, Michael Jackson Conspiracy.

Jones has written what is promised to a controversial book because it takes aim at the ridiculously shallow and often inaccurate reporting about everything from what came out in court during the 2005 trial, to Jackson's alleged psychological state.

According to Jones's June 5 blog entry, the new book "exposes the media bias surrounding Michael Jackson". Jones writes that she uses "trial evidence to show people how slanted news coverage can be".

Jackson Slaps Down 'Prince' Reports – MiniBullet #43

False reports from a "British newspaper" (tabloid) claim that Michael Jackson had approached singer Prince and proposed a string of concerts to supposedly help re-launch his career. But that wouldn't be attention-grabbing enough would it?

So, the additional detail of Prince turning Jackson down was tacked onto the apparently fake news report as well. The story is a crock of crap according to Jackson spokesperson Raymone Bain.

When asked to comment on the story by Eurweb.com, Bain told the celebrity news site the Prince rumor is untrue and that the superstar hasn't spoken to Prince let alone proffered a concert plan.

Jackson Items on the Auction Block – MiniBullet #42

MAY 28 2007 – Yet another person other than Michael Jackson is preparing to make money off of the superstar's fame and legacy. Universal Express (UE) is executing plans in preparation to auction off memorabilia possibly worth millions of dollars.

According to previous reports, it appears most of the items purchased by UE are not possessions belonging to Michael Jackson but rather other members of the Jackson family. However, there seemed to have been a significant enough amount to warrant the superstar to sue UE after allegations that the materials belonging to Michael and Janet were illegally put on the market in the first place by Henry Vacarro.
