Jackson Goes Rumor Hunting, Smacks Down False Claims – MiniBullet#31

Jackson Goes Rumor Hunting, Smacks Down False Claims – MiniBullet#31

Feb 28 2007 – Be verwwy verwwy quiet…Michael Jackson is hunting down false wumors!

As an answer to a number of false or exaggerated rumors swirling around in the press, yesterday (Feb 27) came a press release from {tag Raymone Bain} laying the smack down to that slew of false rumors about Jackson’s current and future plans.

If you’ve been paying attention, you would have noticed certain members of the media taking the lull of Jackson news as an opportunity to spread a number of false claims as if they were fact.

I suppose a number of news outlets aren’t tired of looking stupid just yet, so Bain was much obliged to help them out.

Certain online and offline media entities which recently wrote and/or carried garbage-articles about Jackson being broke enough to consider a reunion tour, or desperately trying to sell a show in Vegas, figuratively got slapped across the face yesterday.

‘Dumb’ DJ Causes Fury over Lame Prank – MiniBullet#30

’Dumb’ DJ Causes Fury over Lame Prank – MiniBullet#30 Feb 24 2007 – Who ever thinks that your age makes you an adult apparently had their theories tested by a dumbass DJ who took it upon himself to tell thousands of listeners that Michael Jackson had died in Las Vegas.

When it comes to Michael Jackson, there are really two main things which can set off fury not only among the Jackson fanbase, but among the general public as well. One is to be caught lying about being molested by him. The other is to pull a prank which involves spreading the lie that he’s dead. Concerning the latter blasphemous action, maybe DJ Double J from KWIN in California didn’t get that text message because his ass announced on the air that Jackson had died in Las Vegas.

UPDATE: Rolling Stone’s Hateful Jab at Jackson is Pathetic – MiniBullet #29

Rolling Stone’s Hateful Jab at Jackson is Pathetic – MiniBullet #29 FEB 20 2007 – The vapid and irrelevant music mag Rolling Stone reportedly has an ad with a picture of a kid holding onto a sequined-gloved hand along with the subtitle “Rolling Stone. Where music and sex coexist.” It’s an obvious and rather hackneyed jab at Michael Jackson. After I threw up in my mouth a little, I realized how pathetic the ad was. A few losers may find it “cute” and “hip”, but many find it tasteless and simply ridiculous. According to Adsoftheworld’s website, the ad was part of a campaign created by DDB Brazil, an agency in São Paulo, Brazil. The once-useful magazine didn’t use the iconic image of any other music star that was actually guilty, and found to be guilty, of such illegal behavior in a court of law. Exactly how desperate for ideas does one have to be in order to use innuendo about sex with kids for an ad?

Jackson Not Idol-bound Despite Rumors – MiniBullet #28

Jackson Not Idol-bound Despite Rumors – MiniBullet #28 Feb 16 2007 – Despite the currently circulating rumors, Michael Jackson has confirmed that he will not appear on this season’s American Idol. According to Access Hollywood, Raymone Bain says, “There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that Michael Jackson is going to appear on ‘American Idol.” Bain goes on to say, “He has signed no agreements with anyone.” What is it about an unconfirmed Jackson story that certain segments of the media can’t seem to ignore until it’s been verified? Without any confirmation of this story to begin with, Countdown’s ‘too-cool-for-school’ local smart-ass Keith Olbermann took the opportunity during his show yesterday (Feb 14 2007) to rag on Jackson’s rumored involvement.

Jackson Shopping with Kids in Vegas Sparks Smart-ass reporting – MiniBullet #27

Jackson Shopping with Kids in Vegas Sparks Smart-ass reporting – MiniBullet #27 Feb 14 2007 – Michael Jackson and his children were spotted shopping in Vegas at Caesar’s Palace yesterday (Feb 13). Despite the rather benign news, another celeb-addicted online website (tmz) again took the news as an opportunity to insult Jackson and his young family. The outing, possibly to celebrate the 10th birthday of Prince Michael Jackson, was the spark for the hateful write-up at the site which included a childish insult about Jackson’s face.

Many Kapon Claims Tossed Out of Court – MB#321

Many Kapon Claims Tossed Out of Court – MB#321 Dec 8 2006 – A Judge in Los Angeles has thrown out many of the mind-boggling allegations leveled in a lawsuit filed by 21 year old Daniel Kapon against Michael Jackson, according to E! Online. Allegations tossed out included those involving child molestation, fraud, conversion, breach of contract, plagiarism, civil conspiracy, unfair business practices, negligence, and accounting fraud. Judging by the generally absurd allegations, some have said the entire lawsuit should have been thrown out. One wonders whether those observers would be more set in their views had they known that these same allegations were investigated and not pursued by at least one (maybe more) police force years ago.

Will Media Get Over Being Wrong about Jackson? – MB#320 UPDATE2

Will Media Get Over Being Wrong about Jackson? – MB#320 [gallery]134[/gallery] Nov 15 2006 – With Michael Jackson tearing through the streets of London and causing total pandemonium, a few “news” agencies have taken it upon themselves to whine about whether the public will accept Jackson’s “comeback”. Let’s get real here: Jackson is currently being honored for his massive achievements by the World Music Awards, and is being recognized for the records he’s set by the Guinness Book of World records. He hasn’t released a new album today, or started a new tour. But already, at least two articles from Reuters, both by the same person, appear to be seeking to preemptively strike with negative comments about what Jackson is capable of achieving in his musical future.

‘Nutjob Nancy’ Whining about Jackson…Again – MB#319

‘Nutjob Nancy’ Whining about Jackson…Again – MB#319 [gallery title="Nancy disGrace Oct 17 2006"]5[/gallery] Oct 17 2006 – Flipping through the channels on a television can sometimes be bad for keeping your food down. This warning particularly applies if you happen to flip to Headline news just in time to hear Nancy disGrace’s whining about whether or not Michael Jackson “bought” his own children. Jackson related news gets my attention most times. Maybe this is what disGrace was counting on to increase her ratings the night of Oct 17. ‘DisGrace’ asked the question about whether Jackson purchased children he’s been raising since birth from Debbie Rowe. Of course anybody with sense knows that it is illegal to purchase children. Further, had there even been the slightest perception or hint of evidence of Jackson buying children, both the Santa Barbara DA’s office and the media would have been all over it during the 2005 trial. After all, Jackson’s entire life was put on trial during that time.

Flip-flopping Rowe Gets Hands in Jackson’s Pockets; Settlement Reached-MB#318

Flip-flopping Rowe Gets Hands in Jackson’s Pockets; Settlement Reached – MB#318

OCT 5 2006 – Recent news about the entanglements of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe is that a settlement over money and visitation between the two parties has been reached.

According to attorney Marta Almli, “It is the settlement of all the issues” who spoke to the AP for an article titled “Lawyer says Michael Jackson, ex-wife settle child custody battle”.

Jackson’s attorney, Michael Abrams also told the AP, “My client is very satisfied with the results. Hopefully (Jackson and Rowe) can both get on with their lives now and be through with this litigation.”

This row was caused by Rowe, who apparently changed her mind after previously claiming she wanted to have no rights at all to children she gave birth to solely because Jackson wished to be a father. She blamed her flip-flop on the false child molestation allegation trial of 2005.

Ridiculous Advice: Strip Jackson of What Makes Him Unique – MB #317

Ridiculous Advice: Strip Jackson of What Makes Him Unique – MB #317 Change him? Why do people always think they know what’s best for Michael Jackson? SEPT 21 2006 – Throughout the course of my observations of Michael Jackson, especially after he was acquitted on false child molestation allegations, I’ve noticed some people who are considered ‘friendly’ to the megastar talking about how they would change his image. The changes would apparently be to make him fit in with what segments of society and media would deem an acceptable or more marketable image. Some proffered little changes like making him wear clothes to appear “current” or acceptable. Others want to change the way he makes music, assuming that he is a Johnny-come-lately ‘pop’ artist. Others, still, would prefer that he totally become a different person; losing his individualism, idealism and artistic creativity.
